Tyler Connect 2009 Opening Event

Our opening event will transport you to a fascinating world of imagination with Montage, presented by Cirque Imagination. A grand show of power, flexibility, and skill, Montage features former members of Cirque du Soleil who defy the perception of what is possible. This exciting event follows a short presentation by Tyler President and CEO, John S. Marr, Jr., where you’ll hear more about Tyler’s continued strength within the industry—and our commitment to you, to redefine what is possible in public sector software and services.

Connect Goes Universal
Tuesday, October 27, 2009, 6:30pm – 10:30pm
We’re takin’ it to the streets of Universal Studios,
New York style! You’ll feel like you’re “on location”
on the bustling streets of Manhattan as you take in
the detailed facades resembling many of the familiar
landmarks and neighborhoods of the Big Apple—
including Little Italy, Park Avenue, the Macy’s Building,
Gramercy Park, and more. Almost every set in the
metropolitan area of the studios was inspired by
scenes from films set in New York!
Spend the evening conversing with genuine
Universal Studios characters; shoot aliens and crash
cars with unlimited free play at the Sega Arcade; rock the
streets and belt out “Soul Man” with the Blues Brothers; and
dance the night away to the musical stylings of our own private
interactive DJ. But that’s just the beginning! Get ready for wild rides
like you’ve never experienced. Explore the mystery of ancient Egypt
on “Revenge of the Mummy”; become part of the adventure as you follow Shrek and Donkey during Shrek 4-D (presented in Ogre-vision); plunge headlong into the next century as you battle robots and dodge plasma blasts to save mankind during “Terminator 2: 3-D Battle Across Time”; and stake out your seat of choice for Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit—the most technologically advanced roller coaster in the world. This is one evening you won’t forget!
This event is complimentary for registered attendees and $110 for each guest.

Golf at Falcon’s Fire Golf Club
Wednesday, October 28, 2009, 11:30am – 5:30pm
Join us for an exciting afternoon of golf at the Falcon’s Fire Golf Club, recognized both regionally and
nationally as one of the finest Orlando golf courses. The Rees Jones Signature Designed championship
golf course and the spacious Clubhouse offer guests the highest in service excellence and amenities,
from dining at the Falcon’s Nest to perusing the latest technology, equipment, and apparel at
the award-winning Golf Shop.
Winner of the 1999 Apex Award, voted #1 in the North American “Top 10 Golf Tournament Facilities”
by the National Association of Golf Tournament Directors, and host to both the Oldsmobile Scramble
National Finals from 1993-1997 and the Senior PGA Tour Regional Qualifying event from 1994-1998,
Falcon’s Fire has proven to be one of the exceptional sites in the nation for hosting tournaments and outings.
Meet in the Transportation Lobby of the Gaylord Palms at 11:30am to board the bus. We will return
to the Hotel around 5:30pm. Cost is $110 per person and a box lunch will be provided at the course.
Ageless Airboat Adventure
Wednesday, October 28, 2009, 11:30am – 4:30pm
Imagine seeing the world in a whole new light and falling in
love with the original beauty of old Florida. This educational
excursion takes you into the seldom-visited heart of natural
Florida! Experience beautiful protected wetland hammocks,
walk through ancient flat woods, and travel by airboat into
pristine sections of fresh water marshes and up river into the
bald-cypress swamp, home of the Florida Alligator, American
Bald Eagle, and a huge assortment of wildlife. Accompanying
certified eco-guides, biologists, botanists, and Audubon experts
ensure that each guest comes away with a profound understanding
of our vastly different land and plant communities, and the
importance of their interrelationship and preservation. You’ll
see a marvelous assortment of birds, reptiles, and plants up
close—some endangered, some threatened, and a few native
species, all found in this amazing area that is affectionately
called the Central Florida Everglades. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
