How do Tyler products help you track and report required information for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA)? It’s an important question that many Tyler clients have considered. A number of customers have applied for or received stimulus dollars. How does their Tyler application help them? We’ve compiled the answers for you, below. Please contact your Support representative for more information or further clarification.
Tyler clients using a third-party reporting solution should ensure that the software will generate the reports in the format required by their state. Note that this format may differ from how the state itself reports its own requirements to the Federal government.
Financial ApplicationsMUNIS, EDEN, and INCODE clients are successfully tracking the programs funded by the stimulus package using the Project Accounting and General Ledger modules.
Tyler’s Financial Applications have always addressed the needs of Public Sector accounting with our segmented General Ledger Chart of Accounts, as well as the additional account segments available in Project Accounting. If you set up an ARRA-funded program as a project, this gives you the ability to track your daily financial activities by funded program. And when you’re ready to report the status and the results, standard inquiries and reports provide the output you need. For detailed MUNIS instructions, see
Using Project Accounting for ARRA.
Education SolutionTyler’s Schoolmaster Student Information System can help track FTEs by funding source, as well as measure the number of full-time positions created or saved. Schoolmaster can also help measure the success of programs funded by ARRA funds (for example, the number of students that take advantage of free lunches, and so on).
Tyler Public SafetyTyler Public Safety uses statistical reports that gather data to show the increase in work activity, due to ARRA funds, from prior months or prior years for reporting purposes.
