The Project Consultant provides consulting, technical, and advisory services to clients using Tyler’s transportation solutions software. This can be provided various ways, including but not exclusive to bell-times studies, routing efficiency studies, boundary planning, route building, and assist services.

The Project Consultant will work directly with clients to determine needs, determine time estimates, deliver quotes, create and deliver Scope of Services, and track each project to completion. The incumbent will often communicate directly with clients and staff from other departments within the organization.


  • Consult with clients on their specific needs and develop Scope of Services (SOS) agreements. 

  • Deliver onsite and remote consulting, technical and advisory services using Tyler’s transportation solutions software as outlined in the SOS. 

  • Seek new business to develop and expand our consulting services. 

  • Provide support in the area of RFP responses, presentations at sales demos, trade shows, and user conferences. 

  • Provide ongoing feedback to direct Manager regarding current and upcoming projects. 

  • Assist in route building and training as needed.

  • Manage and prioritize often conflicting tasks and projects to minimize their impact on the project deadlines and workload.

  • Analyze and provide problem resolution.

  • Work independently and autonomously. 

  • Make sound decisions, balancing both the client and company’s interests.

  • Provide excellent customer service. 

  • Be organized and detailed-oriented. 

  • Prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment.

  • Travel up to 50% of the time

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience 
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Versatrans software suite & Traversa software suite 
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience 
  • 2+ years management experience 
  • Experience working in and building a team 
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
