Software Developer, Appraisal & Tax

We are seeking an individual with development experience in emerging web technologies to help build an enterprise class web product. This is an exciting opportunity for an intermediate developer to work on a sophisticated solution that is leveraging the latest technologies and architectural approaches.

The ideal candidate would have a passion for developing great software and a hunger to learn new concepts, such as complicated frameworks or business rules management.

Dayton Metropolitan Area, Ohio

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and develop lean, secure, well-documented and testable code of moderate complexity using modern design techniques that conform to the requirements, established technical architecture, and industry best practices
  • Produce written test cases, unit tests, and integration tests and perform necessary application testing to ensure code quality and adherence to requirements
  • Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, developers and QA to ensure effective communication amongst all stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot software issues to determine root causes and provide solutions
  • Demonstrate a moderate degree of skill, efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related discipline; or equivalent work-related technical experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of development experience, including intermediate design skills and proficiency with OO languages such as C# and ASP.NET
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven experience building solutions with .NET 4 or 4.5 using key technologies of .NET such as Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and JSON
  • Analyze, design, and develop lean, secure, well-documented and testable code of moderate complexity using modern design techniques that conform to the requirements, established technical architecture, and industry best practices
  • Produce written test cases, unit tests, and integration tests and perform necessary application testing to ensure code quality and adherence to requirements
  • Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, developers and QA to ensure effective communication amongst all stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot software issues to determine root causes and provide solutions
  • Demonstrate a moderate degree of skill, efficiency.
  • Experience with Windows Workflow Foundation (WF) 4.5 a plus
  • A demonstrated understanding of Service Oriented Architectures including RESTful Service frameworks (web-API)
  • Intermediate database skills and understanding of database management
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies (XP, SCRUM or TDD)
  • Experience working with ASP.NET MVC or MVVM development patterns beneficial.
  • Test case writing and execution ability.
  • Understanding of product architecture and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to move a projects forward with minimal direction.
  • Solid research, analytic, and problem- solving skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Results oriented, high energy, self-motivated
