Facilities Assistant (Part-Time/Internship)

Our Lubbock office is now the headquarters of Tyler's Local Government Division. Employees at this location develop integrated solutions for city governments, counties, special districts, municipal courts and public safety agencies. The Incode product suite provides everything a local-level government needs, from finance management software to HR management solutions.

The Facilities Assistant (Part-Time/Internship) is responsible for maintaining the Office, including duties associate with purchasing and stocking supplies for kitchens and conference rooms. Duties also include being the point of contact on-site for the building superintendent while he is out of the office.


Lubbock, Texas


  • Coordinate with Building Maintenance Superintendent to prepare for meetings and events
    • Set up and break down tables and chairs for events, set up beverage service, etc.
    • Assure supplies are stocked
  • Monitor inventory of copy room supplies, wellness room supplies, breakroom supplies, beverages, etc., and restock cabinets and coolers
    • Rotate daily supply to prevent expired stock
    • Keep organized inventory of all supplies
    • Report order list to Building Maintenance Superintendent
  • Plan and perform basic building repairs, miscellaneous jobs and handyman work as needed
  • Assemble or repair furniture as necessary
  • Maintain neat and clean appearance of information center, lounges, meeting rooms, hallways (in coordination with housekeeping staff)
  • Water and maintain all live plants in the facilities
  • Stock and maintain office printers and paper supplies
  • Off-site errands as needed
  • Other duties as requested or assigned by management
  • Maintain presentable refrigerators, freezers, and sink, and clean any reusable catering supplies left over
  • Maintain supply of water in any additional mini fridges
  • Maintain orderly appearance in all storage areas


  • Enrollment in AS/AA or Bachelors degree program is desired; high school diploma or at least 2 years’ equivalent work experience is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude and an aptitude for service is required in our quick-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the interpersonal ability to effectively work with others is required.
  • Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office products is preferred.
  • Ability to lift packages or weight of 35+lbs preferred.
