Field Operations Technician

This position requires operation of a company owned vehicle based field data collection and verification system in a proficient and responsible manner. The field technician would collect property tax assessment related information and high resolution imagery while efficiently carrying out the tasks listed below enabling the vehicles to operate at optimal productivity levels. This position is ideal for individuals with limited ties that are mobile and willing to temporarily relocate for a various periods of time.

  • Identify, capture, and record property parcel items accurately and completely using a computer, camera, and related equipment.
  • Resolve any problems with provided collection networks as defined by project specifications
  • Logically determine best collection plan and routing for current and subsequent days based on weather conditions and forecasts, traffic patterns, and local construction activity to maximize productivity
  • Perform daily quality checks on equipment, subsystems, and data
  • Meet or exceed required productivity targets for each project
  • Answer questions/provide information concerning project to the public as needed
  • Communicate daily with project management team via standardized reporting and utilization of project communication tools


  • Strong computer skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Astute multitasking abilities as position requires attention in many different areas at all times
  • Proficient in reading maps and determining direction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to work both independently and part of a team
  • Able to work in varying locations in a vehicle based or outdoor environment
  • Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver's license and a good driving record, with proof of current personal vehicle insurance; able to pass a qualifying background check
  • Computer, networking, or electronics certification or training preferred
  • Experience with digital cameras and photographic processes a plus
