ERP Account Executive

The Account Executive develops and maintains strategic sales efforts for Tyler’s ERP software products and services. These sales efforts must meet quarterly and annual goals set forth by the company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic sales plan for an assigned territory and the Tyler product line being sold (Munis).
  • Develop relationships with prospective and existing customers, by establishing credibility with customers and identify needs of prospect through discovery process.
  • In concert with Product Specialist, present software solutions to prospects and establish benefits/wins with prospects.
  • Bring successful sales process to closure via a contract in a timely manner
  • Travel to customer locations and cover applicable trade shows and events.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in related field, experience with Public Sector software sales is highly preferred (Utility or Quasi-Governmental Agency experience a plus)
  • Proven ability to conduct "discovery/needs analysis" with prospective customers and develop a successful action plan of software and service solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to actively solicit and manage RFP opportunities in concert with the Tyler RFP teams.
  • Proven success in utilizing Contact Relationship Management (CRM) software to manage sales processes, including price quotes, forecasts, correspondence, and marketing ventures.
  • Ability to bring the sales process to a successful close in a preferred amount of time
  • Ability to travel at least 50% (living in assigned territory desired, but not mandatory)
