Business Development Analyst

The focus area of this Business Development Analyst will be in our Financials, Public Safety and Courts solution offerings. The Business Development Representative works to identify prospects and leads through telemarketing and use of Tyler's CRM system.

  • Collaborate with Sales Team for Focused Prospecting to assist in uncovering potential opportunities and create a pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Maintain Microsoft Dynamics CRM with competitor information/contact/statistics
  • Develop understanding of the competitive landscape in the market and Tyler Messaging around Product line
  • Develop general knowledge of the Tyler software and the key differentiators against competitors
  • Work with leadership on reporting to provide visibility of Business Development activities
  • Work with Sales Management to monitor and report on follow up of qualified leads by Sales to ensure timeliness with new opportunities
  • Develop effective prospecting skills
  • Develop knowledge of territory- key competitors, existing Tyler opportunities/relationships, client satisfaction, and key messaging that will lead to meaningful interactions with potential prospects
  • Strengthen effectiveness of Marketing campaigns within territories
  • Partner with sales operations and marketing in updating CRM records to achieve campaign, marketing, analytic and data governance goals.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or relevant Business or Information Technology field.
  • Previous sales experience a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft CRM or SalesForce a plus
  • Ability to travel if required.
