Same Tyler Products, New Names

As we continue to innovate and add products to our breadth of offerings, we’ve accumulated various naming conventions. Our new naming strategy is scalable, well-organized, and easier to understand.

The product name changes began February 2022.

We are in the process of updating product names across Tyler products and tools you interact with every day, including Tylertech.com, the online support portal, software applications, invoices, and training materials.

Many URLs containing product names will change during this transition. This will happen in a variety of ways depending on the asset and underlying technology. In many cases, we will apply a redirect so the change to a new URL will go largely unnoticed. In other instances, the URL will change as part of a scheduled software development update; therefore, some URL changes may require clients to update bookmarks and saved links. 

With the adoption of functional names, “Tyler” is now one unified identity and brand. You’ll want to note the new name(s) of your specific product(s) and drop all brand terms that are not Tyler. For example, Munis will now be Enterprise ERP; drop “Munis” and add the new functional name. “Tyler” is now the implied brand in instances where it’s conspicuous; in those situations where it is not, refer to your product as “Tyler” or “Tyler’s” to establish our brand: e.g., Our agency uses Tyler’s Enterprise ERP software to streamline internal processes. No. We are only changing the names of our products. There will be no change in product functionality.

No. You will continue to experience the level of support you currently receive.

No. As a part of the brand evolution, a small number of product names will not change.

The “Enterprise” and “Pro” distinctions will be used where we have two products with similar functionality within a portfolio. For example, New World Public Safety and Incode Public Safety are both part of the public safety portfolio – respectively, serving larger and smaller agencies.

In these cases, the “Enterprise” distinction will be applied to the beginning of the product serving larger agencies while “Pro” will be added to the end of the product serving smaller agencies.

You will see changes across Tyler products and prominent tools, including tylertech.com, the online support portal, Tyler Community, Tyler Search, and Resource Center materials.

No. The changes are solely applicable to Tyler software names. No rights, responsibilities, benefits, or terms under your contract are impacted.

You do not need to take any action for our purposes. However, if you would like to prepare your organization for these changes by updating your internal documents or informing end-users if coming changes, we encougage you to do so. We will continue to send updates on our progress.

We are adopting a standard product structure and hierarchy beginning with our five existing solutions groups many of you are already familiar with. Applications suites, applications, and modules will be part of our new portfolios as seen below.

Yes. By eliminating product logos, we’re able to organize and simplify our organization and feature the Tyler Technologies name and logo.
