Lynn Moore currently serves as president and Chief Executive Officer of Tyler Technologies, a role he has held since 2018. In May of 2026, he was also named executive chair of Tyler’s board of directors. Since joining the company in 1998 as its first in-house legal counsel, Lynn has played a central role in shaping Tyler’s long-term strategy, growth, and operational strength.
Prior to becoming CEO, Lynn served as executive vice president and chief legal officer, overseeing the company’s legal affairs, mergers and acquisitions, and asset allocation strategy. Throughout this tenure he has partnered closely with Tyler’s leadership team to strengthen the company’s financial operations and organizational foundation while positioning Tyler as the leader in public sector technology.
Lynn has led or overseen more than 60 strategic acquisitions during his time at Tyler and has helped drive significant growth across the business. Under his leadership as CEO, Tyler has nearly doubled its combined organic and acquisition revenue.
Before joining Tyler, Lynn worked for the law firm of Hughes & Luce (now K&L Gates) in Dallas, Texas. During his six years with the firm, Lynn gained experience in litigation and corporate securities – which included work on M&A deals, financing, IPOs, etc., as well as serving large clients such as ACS and Perot Systems. He holds an undergraduate degree in economics from Georgetown University and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Texas School of Law.
