Your Background: I started at Tyler in May 2016. Prior to being hired as the media relations specialist, I worked at a public relations agency in Dallas for a little more than five years, where I did media relations for a variety of technology, nonprofit and consumer clients, both local and international.
Best Thing About Working at Tyler: The best thing about working at Tyler, and particularly in media relations, is that no two days are the same! I work with all of our verticals to tell interesting stories about their solutions and their clients while maintaining a positive brand reputation for the company. I really enjoy the collaborative environment at Tyler and fast-paced nature of my job.
Advice for a New Employee: I think the ability to multi-task and be flexible is key. At any given moment, you might have to drop everything to respond to a time-sensitive inquiry. Being responsive in a timely manner is really important, too.
