This session is designed for trainers who support or deliver reporting instruction within Tyler Enterprise ERP. Rather than focusing on report creation alone, this session emphasizes how to teach reporting concepts effectively across SSRS, Cubes, and HR Reporting. Attendees will explore how data is sourced, shaped, and interpreted, and how to translate complex reporting behavior into clear, repeatable training narratives. The session focuses on connecting system behavior to reporting outcomes, helping trainers anticipate common client questions, troubleshoot discrepancies, and design meaningful demonstrations that reinforce reporting confidence rather than rote execution.
Objectives
- Identify how SSRS, Cubes, and HR reports differ in data sourcing, timing, and intended use cases within Enterprise ERP.
- Explain core reporting concepts—such as parameters, effective dating, and aggregation—in a way that resonates with varied audiences.
- Analyze common reporting discrepancies and articulate root causes using system data structures rather than surface-level symptoms.
- Create effective training strategies that help others understand why report results look the way they do, not just how to run them.
Prerequisite
Participants should have a basic understanding of any of the following: Excel (Pivot Table experience is helpful, but not necessary) and/or SSRS.
