John S. Marr Jr.

John S. Marr Jr.

CEO and Chairman of the Board
John was appointed as Tyler’s chairman of the Board of Directors, in addition to his role as CEO, in January 2017, after serving as the company’s president and CEO for 12 years. John joined Tyler through its 1999 acquisition of Munis, where he served as president (1994-2004), and led the transformation of Munis from a local provider of municipal information systems to a nationwide leader in public sector software. In May of 2002, John was elected to Tyler's board of directors, and in July 2003, he took on the role of chief operating officer. He was promoted to president & CEO in July 2004. John is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and serves on the board of directors for Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine.

H. Lynn Moore Jr.

H. Lynn Moore Jr.

President
In January 2017, Lynn Moore was named president of Tyler. Lynn started his career with Tyler as general counsel in September of 1998, and was named secretary in October 2000. He served as executive vice president from February 2008 until 2017, after serving as vice president from October 2000 until February 2008. Before joining Tyler, Lynn was associated with the law firm of Hughes & Luce, L.L.P. in Dallas, Texas, where he gained experience with corporate securities, finance, litigation, and other legal matters related to publicly held and privately owned entities. Lynn holds an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and a law degree from the University of Texas.

Brian K. Miller

Brian K. Miller

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Brian began his career at Tyler in 1997 as vice president and chief accounting officer, a position he held until 1999 when he was promoted as vice president of finance and treasurer. Since 2008, he has been Tyler’s executive vice president and chief financial officer. Before joining Tyler, he held various senior management positions at Metro Airlines, Inc., a regional airline holding company operating as American Eagle. Prior to Metro Airlines, he was an audit manager with Ernst & Young, an international CPA firm. Brian is a graduate of Texas A&M University and is a certified public accountant.

Matthew Bieri

Matthew Bieri

Chief Information Officer
Matt joined Tyler in 2010 as chief information officer. Previously, he served as chief information officer at A.H. Belo Corporation, where he was responsible for the company's enterprise-wide technology initiatives. Before joining Belo, he held various executive roles in IT consulting and management, including vice president, global delivery for EDS’ human resources outsourcing organization, as well as chief information officer and chief development officer for The Feld Group. Matt began his career with Computer Sciences Corporation, serving as systems engineer and programmer before moving on to Raytheon, where he served as a software development and integration manager. He is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University.

Brett Cate

Chief Sales Officer
Brett joined Tyler in 1999, serving as a product specialist and then as director of sales and chief operating officer. In August of 2006, Brett was promoted to president of Tyler’s Local Government Division. In 2016, Brett took on a newly created role leading sales efforts across all divisions, and today he holds the title of chief sales officer. He has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Brett graduated from Lubbock Christian University and is a certified public accountant.

Samantha Crosby

Samantha Crosby

Chief Marketing Officer
Samantha has been with Tyler since 2008. She has full oversight of the company’s marketing strategy, since launching the company’s brand in 2009. She is responsible for leading a team of 50+ professionals in key functional areas including branding, content strategy, digital marketing, marketing automation, advertising, events marketing, public relations and employee communications. Prior to Tyler, she held senior management positions at companies including PepsiCo, Inc., The Feld Group, Dell, and Freescale Semiconductor. Samantha holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia.

Abigail Diaz

Abigail Diaz

Chief Legal Officer
Abby joined Tyler in 2012 as a contracts specialist. She was subsequently promoted to associate general counsel and then vice president. In January 2017, Abby was promoted to chief legal officer. In this general counsel capacity, she oversees all contract negotiations and consults with Tyler’s executive team on a variety of compliance, governance, and strategic decisions. Abby also manages Tyler’s outside counsel and related external relationships. Prior to joining Tyler, Abby practiced law with Kirkland & Ellis LLP and served as a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She graduated from Cornell Law School and received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University.

Bruce Graham

Bruce Graham

Chief Strategy Officer & Interim President, Courts & Justice Division
Bruce joined Tyler in 2008 as president of the Courts & Justice Division. Under his leadership, the division saw an aggressive expansion of its revenues and services, and in 2016, Bruce was named chief strategy officer for the company. Prior to Tyler, he served as senior vice president of consulting and global and enterprise accounts at BEA Systems, now part of Oracle, launching and leading their service-oriented architecture (SOA) practice. In the early 1990s, Bruce was a founding partner at The Feld Group, an IT strategy and technology management firm that served Fortune 200 companies. An alumnus of Texas Tech University, Bruce has served as chief information officer of several multi-billion dollar enterprises, in addition to serving as chief operating officer and chief executive officer of a publicly held application service provider.

Jeff Green

Jeff Green

Chief Technology Officer
Jeff started his career with Tyler more than 20 years ago as a software engineer for Eden. Jeff held a variety of leadership roles with Eden, including director of development, director of operations and vice president of development. Jeff advanced to the position of senior vice president of development for Tyler, where he was instrumental in creating the agreement with Microsoft for the public sector version of Dynamics AX®. As Tyler’s CTO, Jeff formulates Tyler’s technical vision and leads our development teams to help realize Tyler’s strategic product initiatives. Prior to joining Tyler, Jeff was a neuroscience researcher and instructor at Grinnell College. He holds a BA degree in psychology from Grinnell College.

Robert Sansone

Robert Sansone

Chief Human Resources Officer
Bob held numerous human resource leadership roles before joining Tyler in 1994 as the director of human resources. He has a combined 30 years of experience in human resources management, including compensation, benefits, recruiting, employee development, training, policy development, and consulting. Bob was promoted to vice president of human resources in 2009 and today serves as the chief human resources officer at Tyler. Bob earned his bachelor’s degree from Villanova University.

W. Michael Smith

W. Michael Smith

Chief Accounting Officer
Michael has served as Tyler's vice president of finance and chief accounting officer since June 2006, and held the office of chief accounting officer from March 2006 to May 2006. Beginning in 2004, he was the chief operating officer of Remote Dynamics, Inc., a provider of telemetry-based solutions for private fleets, and served as the company’s chief financial officer from 1998 to 2004. Prior to this, he held the roles of director of strategic planning and controller for the southwest region of AT&T Wireless Services and began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. Michael holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of North Texas and is a certified public accountant.

Andrew D. Teed

President, Enterprise Group and Appraisal & Tax Division
Andy joined Tyler in February 2002 and has been president of Tyler’s Appraisal & Tax Division since 2005. In January 2014, his role broadened to include oversight of the ERP & School Division, and today has an expanded role as president of the Enterprise Group. Prior to joining Tyler, Andy held senior management positions at several companies, gaining experience in manufacturing, software and technology. He holds a degree from Indiana University and is a certified public accountant. Andy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the International Association of Assessing Officers.

Christopher P. Hepburn

Christopher P. Hepburn

President, ERP & School Division
Chris became president of the ERP & School Division in July 2016, after serving as senior vice president since January 2014. Prior to this, he served as president of Tyler’s School operations from 2010, and was responsible for all student information, student transportation, information warehouse, and small-to-medium school financial solutions at Tyler. Since joining Tyler in 1993, Chris has served in numerous roles, including sales, support, implementation and product development. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire.

Dane Womble

President, Local Government Division
Dane joined Tyler in 1998 as a software developer with more than 15 years of management, operations and customer service experience. He has held a number of positions including chief operating officer and director of client services. Dane graduated from Midwestern State University in 1991 with a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems.

Bret Dixon

Bret Dixon

President, Justice Group
Bret joined Tyler in 2008 as chief operating officer of the Courts & Justice Division. During his tenure the division achieved record performance in employee and client satisfaction, implementation success and financial efficiency. In 2016, he was named president of the Justice Group, where he leads the continued expansion of the Courts & Justice Division as well as the integration of newly acquired New World Systems, now Tyler’s Public Safety Division. Prior to Tyler, Bret served as senior vice president for BEA Systems where he redesigned and led its 350-person global systems engineering organization, in addition to overseeing the $550 million American consulting, support and education business unit. Bret has led multiple consulting engagements that produced critical IT turnaround strategies for Fortune 200 companies, and a variety of assignments during an 11-year stint at IBM in the areas of sales, professional services and outsourcing. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University.

Greg Sebastian

Greg Sebastian

President, Public Safety Division
Greg began serving as the president of Tyler’s Public Safety Division in 2015. Prior to Tyler’s acquisition of New World Systems, he served as the senior vice president, general manager and chief financial officer at New World. With more than 25 years of experience in technology and the public sector, Greg leads the strategic growth initiatives of the Public Safety Division. Before coming to New World Systems, he was president of Accretech USA, Inc. and served on the board of directors for its public parent company, Tokyo Seimitsu Co., Ltd., in Tokyo, Japan. Greg began his career at KPMG, an international CPA firm. Greg has a master of science degree in international finance and a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Detroit. He is a certified public accountant in the state of Michigan.
