Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for monthly and quarterly financial reporting for multiple divisions. This position assists the Accounting Manager with financial statement analyses, general accounting, third party accounting/reporting, audit compliance and acquisition integration in accordance with GAAP.

  • Prepare balance sheet analysis and reconciliations.
  • Prepare month end variance analysis.
  • Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
  • Assist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close.
  • Perform accounting related to third party hardware, software and maintenance.
  • Assist in tax audits and be liaison with outside firm for sales tax and business licenses.
  • Key liaison with internal and external audit professionals.
  • Cash management.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting, or comparable work experience
  • 2-5 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles as well as GAAP, SEC and Sarbanes Oxley compliance
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency
  • Experience with Doclink, Epicor, and Softrax helpful
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Keen attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience working for a publicly traded company is helpful
