The Account Executive is responsible for meeting or exceeding a sales quota for selling the Tyler MobileEyes suite of Public Safety applications (pre-plan and inspection software and related services) within a prescribed territory as set by the company. Initial territory will cover Public Safety agencies within specific east coast and New England states.

The responsibilities of the Account Executive have a direct impact on Tyler revenue. The Account Executive must close prospective clients and upsell existing customers through a successful sales process while setting the correct expectations of the software and implementation process. The Account Executive must also maintain the relationship after the sale as this is a relationship- intensive selling environment. Today’s customer is considered a potential future reference. The Account Executive must be able to:

  • Learn Tyler’s products and services to successfully sell Tyler’s products and services.
  • Identify and build relationships with targeted audiences in order to successfully sell Tyler’s products and services.
  • Manage the sales cycle in order to respond/act in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with internal staff as well as existing clients.
  • Show professionalism when dealing with all aspects of internal and external relationships.
  • Approximately 25% travel on average.

Work with our solutions that enable new businesses to safely build, open their doors, and stay in compliance. Our solutions facilitate community development, business management regulation, and code compliance while supporting fire prevention and structural safety.


Upstate New York




  • Develops knowledge of Tyler MobileEyes products and services to gain a thorough understanding as they relate to targeted audiences.
  • Develops knowledge of other Tyler products related to the Public Safety ecosystem to gain a thorough understanding as they relate to targeted audiences.
  • Successfully build relationships with targeted audiences to sell products and services.
  • Generates sales within the territory for full suite of products to Public Safety agency prospects and existing customers.
  • Manages long and complex sales cycles from lead generation to close of sale.
  • Maintains and manages accurate forecasts and activity reports in CRM.
  • Travels to customer locations and applicable trade shows or on-site demonstrations. Typically, approximately 25% of the time on average.
  • Assists with preparation of RFP responses.
  • Meets a pre-set annual sales quota.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous sales experience in the software industry selling to Public Sector agencies required.
  • Previous experience selling Public Safety applications, CAD and Records Management a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a sales CRM system (forecasting and opportunity management)desired.
  • Lives within the assigned territory strongly preferred.
  • Must possess a competitive drive and results-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills. Previous public speaking experience a plus.
  • Must be a self-starter in addition to a team player.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and employees required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
