Tyler Technologies is accepting applications for a fall intern in our Human Resources department with the potential of continuing into the spring! This position will ideally report to our Yarmouth, ME office, but will have work-from-home hours as well. This internship will focus on supporting employees’ HR needs in Tyler’s shared services groups (finance, information technology, marketing, sales, and R&D). The ideal candidate will be a current junior or senior with an interest in human resources, talent acquisition, or organizational development. The schedule for this position will be around 10-15 hours per week, working around your class schedule with the only required hours on Mondays from 8:30-12:30 eastern standard time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with onboarding new interns and employees.
  • Coordinate orientation schedules across locations and divisions.
  • Conduct new hire orientations.
  • Conduct Yarmouth/Falmouth building tours for current and prospective employees.
  • Update and create position descriptions.
  • Assist with rolling out the “buddy program” for new hires.
  • Maintain and audit Tyler’s corporate org chart and HRIS.
  • Conduct exit interviews and maintain tracking system.
  • Assist with reports such as hiring status, headcount, etc.
  • Provide administrative and data entry support around recruiting and internship program.
  • Work with internship liaisons to ensure a solid experience for other corporate interns.

 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, management, or HR
  • An interest in a career in human resources
  • Prior public speaking/presentation experience is helpful
  • Comfort level with speaking to employees at all levels, from entry level to executive
  • Strong Microsoft Word skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a team of professionals on business issues
  • Project management experience is a plus, as this role will juggle multiple projects and will have the ability to gain more experience in other areas of HR such as FMLA, ADA, recruiting, etc.
