The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for helping develop and manage the overall digital, SEO, and content strategies for Tyler, including, Google Ads, corporate advertising, and Tyler’s Connect user conference. Working with the Manager, Digital Marketing to develop digital campaigns and content calendars, manage digital guides/playbooks, gather, and analyze data, and work across the marketing organization to deliver outbound and inbound marketing strategies that expand our outreach. Candidates should have the desire to deliver excellent, well-written content, adhering to AP Style, to be used in digital marketing channels. The Digital Marketing Specialist should be an independent self-starter, organized, an excellent writer, and a confident communicator with a genuine desire to learn and a goal for becoming a trusted partner for best practices in digital marketing.

  • Collaborate across corporate and vertical market areas to deliver effective digital and content marketing plans to meet the business objectives
  • Leverage SEO and SEM best practices
  • Develop and manage a digital marketing calendars and communication plans
  • Integrate content programs with product and brand campaigns to drive demand
  • Collaborate with designers and communications to produce high-quality content
  • Edit, proofread, improve content, and follow both AP and Tyler Style guidelines
  • Create well-written, well-structured content optimized for inbound content marketing strategies for digital channels based on corporate content marketing objectives
  • Coordinate with content creators or designers to help deliver quality marketing materials
  • Give feedback on content pieces delivered by other content creators
  • Monitor digital content marketing results

Scope, Impact, or Complexity

This position is responsible for driving brand awareness, lead generation, and audience engagement across all Tyler product groups, primarily through digital channels. The Digital Marketing Specialist will work across Tyler’s Vertical Marketing and Corporate Marketing teams including vertical marketing directors and teams, digital strategy teams, and campaign and marketing automation teams to communicate Tyler’s brand story. The Digital Marketing Specialist will work to envision how content will be presented or distributed in digital formats. They will be responsible for Tyler’s corporate digital content strategies including delivering appropriate content for SEO, SEM, and Google Ads which impact lead generation activities.
The Digital Marketing Specialist must manage complex multichannel marketing calendars, generate new creative ideas, be detail-oriented, and have excellent writing and organizational skills.
They must be able to collaborate across multiple product vertical field teams and corporate functions, work with shared services professionals, engage with executive team members, and prioritize multiple competing program goals.
Must have a passion for, and expertise in, digital marketing including SEO, SEM, digital advertising, and website properties.


  • 1+ years of demonstrable content and digital marketing experience
  • BA/BS degree in marketing, journalism, or relevant field
  • Experience creating digital content for the web and digital marketing
  • Curious mindset seeking to understand what digital audiences consume
  • Ability to analyze and present content and digital performance
  • Project management skills and attention to detail
  • Understand how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement, leads, and sales
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Understand basic SEO strategies, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution, and measurement
  • Understand basic B2B marketing principles
  • Knowledge of public sector and/or technology industries is recommended
  • Knowledge of and interest in the public sector and the intersection between technology and policy

State Specific Salary Range Disclosure Requirements for Colorado, Connecticut, and Nevada

Salary will generally fall between $46,185 - $69,885 before adjustment for geographic differences. Recruiter can confirm if position is incentive eligible.
