We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst for an exciting opportunity within our Local Government community.  This position is responsible for overall management and maintenance of our internal project tracking system and its components, Changepoint PSA, which is utilized by the Local Government Division’s (LGD) Professional Services teams. This role includes both system administration and configurations supporting professional services best practices. Report writing and large dataset analysis will be focused within the Cognos Business Intelligence tool but may include Microsoft SQL querying as well.

The Analyst will work with Senior Leaders to identify and address areas of opportunity for the Professional Services team to improve its efficiency and effectiveness in individual user scenarios within Changepoint. With these gathered insights, the Analyst will be responsible for educating internally on the use and continuous improvement of Changepoint best practice standard processes.

  • Maintain positive, productive relationships with all internal resources and leadership.
  • Develop automated and manual data scripts within Cognos or Microsoft SQL Server, and incorporate the results into business insights.
  • Collaborate with various teams to translate prioritized business needs into standard data and reporting solutions for the Division. Examples of the expected outcomes would be enhancing dashboards, visualizations, queries and reports.
  • Establish and maintain scalable, efficient, and automated processes within the Professional Services Automation (PSA) tool of Changepoint.
  • Accountable for the administrative functions in Changepoint as defined for internal users including custom fields, workflows and other configurations.
  • Liaison to Corporate IT for Changepoint upgrades and feature requests.
  • Continually identify and address areas where process improvements in Changepoint will benefit professional services teams in order to maintain the project data that drives utilization and revenue projection. Alignment and reconciliation with other legacy reporting methods may be necessary.
  • Define and maintain standard operating procedures related to Changepoint best practices.
  • Develop, present and maintain training for Changepoint users.
  • Attentive to detail, highly accurate, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision to complete assigned projects.
  • Adapt to changes in work environment, managing competing demands, and deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.


  • Bachelor’s degree in analytics design and reporting, or comparable experience.
  • 2-5 years analytics design and reporting experience, preferably in the software/professional services industry.
  • Positive, team-oriented professional possessing ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.
  • A strategic thinker with sound technical skills, analytical ability and strong operational focus.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, report building, dashboards and executive reporting. Prefer experience with
    Cognos and Changepoint PSA or other industry PSAs.
  • Skilled communicator and ability to train on PSA software for all levels of experience.

State Specific Salary Range Disclosure Requirements for Colorado, Connecticut, and Nevada

Salary will generally fall between $61,646 - $81,114 before adjustment for geographic differences. Recruiter can confirm if position is incentive eligible.
