The Lead Product Analyst is responsible for understanding and documenting software requirements for highly complex solutions and products which will enhance solutions and products. The Lead Product Analyst is highly experienced, often considered the “go-to” person. The Lead Product Analyst influences the direction of work in the department as well as influences product solutions and designs. The Lead Product Analyst provides direction to less experienced staff.  Quality of work has a direct impact on products and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Business Value by solving highly complex problems that meets clients and potential clients needs.
  • Gather and document highly complex requirements from a variety of sources to support product development process.
  • Define and document use cases and conduct research/analysis to support product development process for highly complex projects.
  • May provide sales support by assisting in responding to RFPs as well as potentially performing on-site demonstrations.
  • Mentor staff and team members, with a focus on professional growth, product ownership and leadership.
  • Collaborate with the appropriate Tyler teams to design, develop, and successfully launch changes within the product area.
  • Contribute to the advancement of the team environment through integrity, leadership, and continuous knowledge transfer.
  • Design requirements and documentation with foresight for the future maintainability and growth of the software.
  • Learn and analyze client business requirements, enhancing knowledge as experience grows in the position.
  • Embrace learning and growth to gain expertise and grow in position.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Understand and prioritize highly complex requirements and information.
  • Work independently as well as in a team.
  • Provide guidance and direction to less experiences staff.
  • Exhibit highly efficient management of time, tasks and priorities.
  • Maintain a positive team player attitude.

  • Proactively listen to client feedback and determine the best way to meet the requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree Computer Sciences, Management Information Science, or Business.  Equivalent work experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in software or related experience including but not limited to writing and documenting client specifications.
  • Proven track record influencing product direction.
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile SCRUM development processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the full software development lifecycle and associated methodologies helpful.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills involving the ability to manage multiple work tasks effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills involving communicating technical and non-technical information in writing and verbally.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team as well as across functional groups.
  • Ability to be effective in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to travel if requested.
