The Legal Assistant for Tyler's  Legal Operations will be responsible for keeping informed of departmental activities, transmitting information, and assisting day to day operations of the Legal Operations Department. This position will perform a variety of legal administrative support duties such as file management, calendar management, electronic communications and the coordination of meetings and meeting materials. This role will perform general office support functions and assists department personnel as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain Legal Operations team calendar and provide administrative support to maintain and organize files and daily tasks.

  • Provide administrative and clerical support for Legal Operations team of attorneys and contracts administrators
  • Manage and submit expense reports for the Legal Operations team
  • Draft, proofread, and edit internal and external correspondence
  • Answer general inquires and disseminate information in a timely manner
  • Assist legal team in preparation of presentation materials
  • Organize meetings and conferences; including sharing details with the appropriate attendees
  • Arrange travel, meetings, and conference calls 
  • Maintain legal department procedures
  • Type letters, memos and various legal documents for corporate attorneys 
  • Maintain filing system of all legal records 
  • Support all legal team members as needed
  • Report and manage CLE hours for the legal team
  • Facilitate payment for attorney bar fees and professional association dues
  • Some Travel May be Required 

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of work-related experience as administrative support with exposure to a Legal team
  • Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Understanding of legal reporting and recordkeeping requirements
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong written & oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Must be a self-starter, be able to work autonomously, and be a quick learner
  • Desire to work in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, analytical, and have good interpersonal skills
  • Desire to participate in ad-hoc projects as needed
  • This position requires the ability to adapt a schedule to work earlier or later hours during the week as needed.  Occasional weekend work might occur.
