The Marketing Specialist position plays a vital role in shaping and executing dynamic campaigns that drive business success, generate valuable leads, and elevate brand recognition for state and federal platforms and products, particularly within Tyler's Regulatory Portfolio. This role requires a strategic mindset to identify campaign needs, select the most impactful communication channels, and create compelling, well-researched content. Additionally, the Marketing Specialist will provide inspiring creative direction to internal teams and lead initiatives from conception to successful completion, ensuring that every campaign resonates powerfully with our target audience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative, multi-faceted marketing campaigns that drive Tyler State and Federal business success. These campaigns may include email, print, social media, web, webinar, video, collateral, trade shows, and events.
  • Become adept in the Tyler voice and writing style, using this to write effective, compelling content for the web, email, and collateral, including brochures, product sheets, white papers, client profiles, videos, and more.
  • Ensure marketing messaging is consistent and drives the key messages in an impactful way.
  • Effectively interact with sales or other internal clients, as appropriate, to understand business needs and develop marketing approaches that meet those needs.
  • Provide lead generation or client outreach support at events, such as trade shows or conferences, including on-site coordination where required.
  • Manage projects so assigned deliverables are completed on time and with efficient use of resources; work with the manager to prioritize projects for maximum business impact.
  • Utilize a metric-driven approach to determine which campaigns/programs are most effective and leverage these learnings to adjust future marketing activity.
  • Track assignments, projects, and campaign results so the team manager can report on work's impact.
  • Maintain and manage project schedules, approvals, and other project-related needs utilizing the department’s project management software.
  • Develop product knowledge and/or obtain product knowledge from internal subject matter experts to communicate about Tyler solutions clearly and accurately to an external audience.
  • Work independently on projects with some oversight from the manager; engage collaboratively with the team and clients as needed.
  • Meet and communicate with team members, clients, and stakeholders via email, chat, phone/video call, or in-person discussion, including with people in other offices or remote locations.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of marketing experience
  • An understanding of marketing communications vehicles, including email, direct mail, collateral, video, web, and trade shows
  • Experience in effectively managing a variety of marketing projects and timelines
  • Strong writing skills and experience
  • Knowledge of AP style
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • An understanding of graphic applications, image/media files, web media/interactive marketing, etc.
  • A positive attitude with a desire to go above and beyond expectations
  • Technology/software industry and public sector experience preferred

State-Specific Salary Range Disclosure Requirements

Salary will generally fall between $66,585 - $108,638 before adjustment for geographic differences. Recruiter can confirm if position is incentive eligible.
