The Tyler Technologies Legal Affairs team has an opening for an attorney who is looking for a fast-paced, challenging and constantly evolving environment. The right candidate will enjoy working on a variety of complex technology contractual and legal issues.

As a part of Tyler’s corporate staff, you will make an impact on outcomes that affect various areas of the company. Your work will ultimately support our team members, clients, stakeholders, and the public sector.

What You Will Do:
  • Work closely with the Legal Affairs Senior Corporate attorneys on a range of corporate transactional matters and agreements with a focus on Tyler’s third-party partner relationships
  • Review, negotiate, and draft complex inbound software licensing, cloud computing and IT infrastructure services contracts
  • Work directly with Tyler’s business teams providing day to day advice and education on legal risks, complex business relationships and compliance topics
  • Work collaboratively with internal legal and business teams to create standard practices, procedures and agreements for company engagements


What you will bring: 
  • 4-6 years of law firm or in-house corporate and transactional generalist experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, stickler for attention to detail
  • Exceptional drafting skills
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: software licensing, cloud computing/subscription contracts, real estate, data privacy and security
  • Pragmatic approach to complex legal issues
  • Ability to work with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders
  • Technology background with willingness and energy to learn new areas of expertise
  • JD degree and license to practice law in any US state

State Specific Salary Range Disclosure Requirements for Colorado, Connecticut, and Nevada

Salary will generally fall between $76,297 - $130,000 before adjustment for geographic differences. Recruiter can confirm if position is incentive eligible.
