The Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring network communications for all network hardware and for remote client connections. The performance of the network has a direct impact on service reliability perception, the Network Engineer would ultimately be responsible for resolution of all network issues that would affect that perception. They are also responsible for the incorporation of security into the network.

  • Install, maintain and support network hardware, security devices and infrastructure
  • Be the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and problem resolution of network needs
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and configuration issues
  • Evaluate hardware and software networking requirements
  • Maintain strict client SLAs for application delivery / high availability
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Explore, test, and implement new technology as they become available/desired
  • Maintain records necessary for PCI and SSAE16 network audit compliance
  • Ensure that network documentation is maintained to current
  • Maintain proper backup procedures and ensure backup validity


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or equivalent experience
  • IT certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIP, Network+, ENS, etc. are a plus
  • Working knowledge of Cisco IOS/NX-OS, F5, Juniper, Riverbed and other network hardware
  • Understanding of peripheral hardware installation and configuration
  • AWS experience is a plus
  • Typically requires 3-5 years of experience with TCP/IP setup and configuration, Cisco Routers/Switches, and VPN appliances
  • Strong understanding of IT/network security practices
  • Experience with network design and topography
  • A well rounded understanding of Cisco platforms
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment
