Tyler Technologies continues to grow and we are currently seeking an F5 Network Engineer to join our Hosting Engineering team.   The primary duties for this position include design and implementation as well as installation, initial maintenance, and support of the network infrastructure as required to meet the needs of the Tyler’s business units. This position serves as a Tier 3 point of contact for supporting both cloud and datacenter network connectivity by designing, documenting, and training team members for implemented solutions.

The Network Engineers install, maintain, and support the networking required to meet the needs of the Tyler’s employees and customers. This position works with internal staff and serves as a point of contact for supporting clients’ SaaS network interface requirements.

As a part of Tyler’s corporate staff, you will make an impact on outcomes that affect various areas of the company. Your work will ultimately support our team members, clients, stakeholders, and the public sector.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Tier 3 support and primary point of contact for troubleshooting and problem resolution of network connectivity and configuration issues
  • Determine design and assess budgeting needs for future hardware and equipment purchases as well as cloud-based deployments
  • Monitor network performance and take steps to ensure efficiency and up-time requirements are met in order to maintain strict client SLAs for application delivery / high availability
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Maintain records necessary for audit compliance, including but not limited to PCI, SSAE, SOX, CJIS, FedRAMP
  • Responsible for documentation of education of team members and business partners
  • Promote best practices for implementation and maintenance of all networks
Typical business hours are 8-5, M-F. However, This position is subject to periodic maintenance to be performed outside of business hours. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or equivalent experience
  • IT certifications such as F5 Certified Administrator, F5 Certified Technical Specialist, AWS CSA-P, and/or CISSP desired
  • Requires 5+ years of practical experience with F5 and traditional networking.
  • Experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting F5 LTM, ASM, AFM and APM.
  • Proficiency launching F5 appliances in AWS across multiple availability zones
  • Solid understanding of network orchestration and automation tools
  • Holistic understanding of network components and systems integration
  • Experience with network design and topography.
  • AWS Cloud Networking: BGP, DNS, VPC, Transit/NAT/Internet Gateways, Routing Tables, etc.
  • Deep experience with network design/implementation/support across multiple platforms including evaluating hardware and software networking requirements
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to deliver clear and concise runbooks, network diagrams and other types of documentation
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment

State Specific Salary Range Disclosure Requirements for Colorado, Connecticut, and Nevada

Salary will generally fall between $85,071 - $111,935 before adjustment for geographic differences. Recruiter can confirm if position is incentive eligible.
